anyway guys
xenondepot have a 6500k hid for 349 also
remember these price are low only cause they make it themself

8000k blue
6500k purple

anything more than 400 dollar for HID....... you might as well go retrofit
also dont buy mculloch hid.

Around 5000K is pure white, or close to natural sunlight. When you start getting up into the 6's it gets bluer, up around 8 itsp purple. They may be using Phillips ballasts, but they aren't using Phillips (or Sylvania) optics. All that retrofit stuff is illegal now. Good luck.

I just checked out the 349 kits on xenondepot.com and I was wondering what the reason is for the number in front of the 6500 it has like 9004 9005 and so on. Which one would we need?

A retrofit is what you all are talking about doing. Adding HID's to a car that did not come stock with HIDs. All OEM's use Philips or Osram Sylvania optics combined not only with bulbs and ballasts, but housings and projectors as well. The reflectors in a Lancers were designed with halogen bulbs in mind and retrofits usually end up blinding oncoming drivers, especially if they are stuck in housings designed for right hand drive cars.

Those little $4-500 kits are probably based on cheap Taiwan made bulbs and might produce a "cool" looking blue/purple beam, but either A. don't perform well, B. won't last long or C. will get you a ticket - or D. all of the above or any combination.

The number refers to the size of the bulb. 9007 is the 2003 Lancer low and high beam bulb.
