Boe answered most questions but for Hobie..... Yes 91 octane or better for 10 or 10.5 to 1 compression.

Stroker kit is out of the question for us. Mechanically difficult to do plus not good business sense!

the walls of our cylinders are thin enough.

boe, so then timing needs to be controlled for the NA stg2 cam, but not the NA stg1 cam?

The vlv timing of the stage 2 cam needs to be controlled. This is done by the cam gear they offer. RPW will tell you that to run the stage 2 setup you'll need the cam gear as well as upgraded springs/retainers. If you're going to try that setup you'll need to have a shop do the install. The vlv clearence will have to be adjusted thru the cam gear if you get the high comp pistons. This takes a little tact. If your not proficient you'll bend the vlvs and/or damage the piston tops. This would be bad.

I'd just stay with the stage 1 or 1.5 they have. Then there should be no issues at all for the NA setup and you should be able to do the install yourself if you have the knowledge.

Hell i'm thinking of getting these now! Rob count me in for a set. Time to become the fastest NA lancer!!
Who's cars are we referring to when it comes to NA getting in the 15's? Promises have been made before about certain things that have not yet come to fruition.

A slip or a post by the person or persons would be nice.

Wadad... check out your own times posted. I've seen 2 lancers with the RPW NA cams and i can tell you they did pack more punch than any other NA lancer i've seen. It isn't that far from a reality especially if you get another 20-40hp from the cam/piston upgrades.

Pistons are pistons. Higher compression will yield more power. How much for sure or time slips for sure I cannot say because no one has them yet.

If the price tag on the pistons would be reasonable then I'm in.

I'm down for pistons. Like ASAP. Just make them and give me a price.

They should basically be about the same price as the others. If anything slightly more but not much i'd imagine. Come on RRM... if it takes paying up front i'm willing. I know they take 4-6 weeks to make but i want a set and i'm willing to pay in advance to ensure you make these.

What about you guys??

Im definently interested...and yes...lancer's are in the 15's...I've hit 15.13 at 91 and 15.16 at 94. Thats on cold air intake, header back exhaust, B & M short shifter, gutted interior, 75-shot ZEX kit. So these pistons would be great for me since im sprayin, so just let me know the price and I'll definantly pick some up...keep us posted...
