Man you guys complain about everything......

If Mitsu doesnt recall, your pissed citing them for negligence.

If Mitsu does recall, your still pissed.

I hardly grasp how a fan sensor and a water pump would cause you to get rid of your car, or determine that the Lancer isnt reliable. I just dont get it.......

I took my car in for the cooling fan sensor recall 2 days ago and they said nothing about a water pump recall. Anybody have any hard evidence of this?

Just remember - they now claim to offer the "best backed cars in the world!" So they have to stop us all from overheating due to lack of cooling fan or water pump!

haven't gotten my letter yet. i'm waiting on it so i can take both letters (cooling fan and water pump) in at the same time. problem is, my dealership closed down, so now i have to drive an hour away to get to the nearest one, and i've heard they've turned people down on warranty stuff. My old dealership didn't care if you had after market parts, as long as that part didnt' cause the problem.

This isn't warranty. It's a recall. They CANNOT turn you down. Mitsubishi has said "you must fix this" to all dealerships.

Sorry to hear about the long drive, though.

Doug, I have gotten four recalls in the past six months on my wifes 2001 Focus. I just got the fifth one last week. They have to replace the coil spings.

Now I can have both recalls on the Lancer fixed at once.

Yeah really, would you rather have a water pump recall or a "chassis may separate from body during braking" recall?
