So who actually got a recall letter about the waterpump? My dealer said nothing about it 3 days ago...........

dont worry too much about it. recalls are ALWAYS honored. now warranty is totally different . my local dealer didnt say anything to me about my sds kit. they just fixed the problem, and i was good to go.

sorry guys i seem to have made a mistake.

reading the letter more carefully, i found that theres a problem with the cooling fan controller. which may cause the engine to overheat. it also states the affected vehicles.

lets just say my dad got the letter before i did. (im 17 for those of u who dont know me very well)hes one of those asian type parents who are the first to the us so his english isnt that good. he read it and told me about it. so i figure he was correct till i took another look at it.

What are you guyz complaining about, Mitsu actually does the recalls free of charge and is very open about it. Look what is happening with Ford's F150 truck, they have premature tie rod wear that could result in serious steering problems that can cause an fatal accident and Ford will not even issue a recall or repair it. There a class action suit pending for this problem. Which would you rather have ? a car manufactuerr thats admits that they have a problem and doees the repair at no cost or have the customer go fight a ugly fat giant ?

after i read this thread yesterday i called my mitsu dealer, told them i had gotten a letter for the fan and a waterpump

so they said they would replace both this monday morning

now i am reading that your dad misinformed you but i'm still getting a new waterpump
