im so happy~

i couldnt find my old post.. but you remember my problem with the valve covers? well lets see.. they said my rod bearings were ****ed up... of the shafts broke.. which one ? i forgot.. but anyways.. the dealer honored my warranty and gave me a brand new motor... im so happy right now... after 2 months of no car.. im happy to get a brand new motor back.. you guys who had the problem that i had.. you guys know how happy i am well... i just learned.. if you have problems with your car... take it to the dealer... and if you harrass them for like forever.. they might just honor the warranty hahaha.. well time to go pick up the car... peace

Was it a manufacture defect or were you racing to damage the engine?

well i bought the powder coated valve covers from rrm... it came out real nice.. but i guess i ****ed up on the installation.. so there was a major oil leak.. and also didnt replace the gasket.. so my engine got ****ed up... took it to like 4 different dealers... all denied it.. but this one place replaced the whole motor... so im just happy to get my car back

No, I'm pretty sure he just didn't replace the head gasket. Whenever you take off your head you're supposed to replace the gasket. It's fragile like that.

to tell you guys the truth... they didnt even fix the valve cover.. its still the same one... they just replaced the motor... the oil light doesnt come on anymore.. the only problem is.. it idles a little low.. and the motor shakes a little... do you think the pressure isnt regulated right cuz of the valve cover still?? can a bent valve cover cause the engine to idle funny?

Take it to a different dealer and have them test it.

cool, i can always rely on my dealer. Out of all the dealers I've been to, Mitsubishi is the best.
