To steer this back on topic, you're going to wind up paying The Man anyway unless the judge is a very nice person, which for things like "exhibition of speed" (and what a subjective term that is) is quite unlikely.

If it's in a forum other than OT and it's written all wacky and whatnot the poster will generally be asked to fix it and/or the post will be deleted.

You CAN be ticketed for racing UP TO AND INCLUDING the speed limit in most states, if not nationwide, as far as I'm aware. Technically you're guilty. "exhibition of speed or acceleration" as SL said.

And yes you may not like the law, and yes the law may be stupid, but it's the law. Suck it up and pay it off or try to plead guilty a lesser charge or something. It's not the end of the world, it's just a costly mistake.
