Help! Need Help Picking Out New Car!

OK...I am 15, just got my permit, and my dad wants to buy me a car!(Hes more excited then me!) I have been thinking of a new OZRally or Mustang GT. My dad has agreed to either one but i have to pay for insurence, $1100.00 6mo for OZ Rally, and $1500.00 6 mo for GT. What do you guys think?

In my opinion a new driver should not be behind the wheel of a new GT. However, if your dad is willing to put the cash up for either, and know you can afford the 15 hundo a month, get the GT. Significantly faster but loses a lot of practicality.

I say you should go for the lancer oz rally......i dont like mustangs that much.....plus you could always buy a bodykit for your lancer to make it look nice

Or why dont you go for second-hand car since you are kinda young....go for an integra GSR...or a hatchback and put a GSR engine in it.

the type-S acura RSX ain't cheaper than a mustang GT
They're like $24G's +
The type-S acura RSX is too much for you too handle since you are young....

Just get a second hand car and wait till you build up some driving experience and then wait till your like 18 or older and buy yourself a fast car like an evo if you can...thats what i been doin...im ready to handle a fast car like the evo...ive driven eclipse gsx....mah uncle's corvette..and lots of mah friends cars.

Im just tellin you str8 up and bein realistic cuz you still young

RSX-S is a much better choice. New drivers behind a RWD car is not a good thing. Case and point: Mustang driver when I was in HS managed to put his car through a man's living room in the rain. FWD will be much easier to handle.

Yeah my dad wants me to get a new car, warrenty reasons. I think i will get the lancer because i am a new driver. Plus my dad is really good with cars(mechanic) and he told me he would turbo charge the lancer.

Yeah, go with the Lancer.

As for the RSX Type-S, my friend's only cost him $19,000 brand new off the lot with under 15 miles.

EDIT: It wasn't exactly $19,000, it was anywhere between $18,500 - $19,000. Just a little clarification.

Lucky guy... most of the Type S in my area start at 25 for the bare-bones... can be close to 30K without the "Factor Peformance Package."

so your dad wants a new car for the warranty, but will put a turbo in it, killing the warranty ? thats how my dad is, minus the turbocharge thing and plus not letting me do a thing to my car..

Yeah, although if you don't kill yourself, an unreliable, torque car will teach you some good driving skills (mostly how to get yourself out of bad situations).
