with my setup i actuly got 40mpg....i didt use boost really at all unless goin up a big hill/mountain....but 40mpg....i duno why but im not asking. so if u spend $5600 u to can get 40mpg.

You should have no problem with the trip. During IVAN I drove from P-cola, Fl to Memphis to Tampa and back to P-cola. Well over 2000 miles over a 6 day period. My car loved every minute of it. I averaged around 30mpg on the hwy.

u should be fine...last semester i was doin sometimes 500 a week and i never had any problems....just oil changes more freqeuntly...

yeah my brother and i were like "wtf" but i enjoyed it. i think maybe cause i wasent using boost and the air was so cold goin though the I/C that it uped my MPG....i duno...thats the only thing i can think of...btw i had stock cat on.

You should be cool man. I drove all the way from wisconsin to florida in my car once. I had no issues at all and as long as the westher is good and they don't thow too much stuff on the roads b/c of snow and ice your front end shouldn't get messed up at all. Have a safe journey! One question though. Why doesn't she fly down to see you? Its much warmer in FL.

shes comin down over the summer or somethin... plus her spring break isnt the same as mine.. i just wanna get outa here for spring break. road trip, free, hot girl, haha sounds good.

2 days after I got my Lancer I drove from Portland, OR to St. Louis, and then back 2 days later. you should have no issues at all

i think what he meant was the bugs lol...millions of bugs/insects will smash into your bumper after some long drives...but after a nice wash will take care of it~

Yeah but you've got the sand/salt mixture they throw on the roads instead. I don't know what I'd rather have. I think the bugs b/c they do less damage.
