forgot you lived on the east and theres probably snow and stuff. but what i meant was that your bumper might get messed up from bugs and little rocks.

Everytime you stop to get gas check your car. Check that your tires have enough air, check your oil, clear your wipers of any debris, make sure your windows are clean, walk around the car etc. Make sure that you have on you a qt of the oil you use, a tire guage, jack, spare tire, and a cell phone. These are just some of the simple things I would think about having on you for an extended road trip. I'd also think in advance where you plan to stop. Look on a map and mark out every 250 miles to fill up on gas, this way you will not be out of gas. I know all this stuff sounds stupid but sometimes on long trips you get into a haze and start to daydream on the road, especially if you are alone. If you have a few check lists while you are driving it helps to keep you sharp.

I've driven from Washington DC to KC Kansas non-stop a few times, once in a Jeep Wrangler by myself when I was 17... if you plan ahead you will be fine. Hell you could even plan to stop to see a few of us on your way to Ohio. Haha... planning a trip like this takes the stress out.
