Are these Headers Legit?

This isn't a post that I could have found in a search.. its not about MIL Eliminators, cell lights, or anything like that. I sent the payment out for headers and a downpipe for headers off ebay. Let me know if you guys think this is Legit... did Megan make headers that were released in Japan? I was going to let my girlfriend buy me the Kamikaze Headers and downpipe but the guy accepted my offer which was less than 100 bucks for these.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

This auction is for a used CERAMIC COATED 4-2-1 HEADER W/DOWNPIPE for 02+ Lancer

They are used a little over 9 months on my friend's 02 Lancer ES. My friend has people to take it off after the accident & now it's for sale! They are still in good condition no leaks or breaks, only the coated a little off it's normal for a header because of the high heat but you might want to put a few new coats of high heat paint before you put them on your Lancer again (that was my friend's plan if he is getting another Lancer)

This Ceramic 4-2-1 header is good at low end torque & mid-high end horsepower especially if your Lancer is a daily use car & this header is very light weight is a lot lighter than the stock header

This header was imported from Japan by Magan Pro & it's originally for LANCER EXCEED which has the same engine as ours (4G94 SOHC) so you won't go wrong with this & I am sure that's only 4 of the same kind in America (that's what Magan Pro told us at purchased)

Never seen them before, but that's not to say they don't fit.

Looks like they would fit.... interesting how its a 4 - 2 - 1. I wonder how that affects the power gain. Hey for less than $100, its worth a try.

looks EXACTLY like the kamikaze headers my wife has on her lancer. It doesnt look ceramic coated thought. To be honest, It looks like a kamikaze header that was painted silver with high heat paint, but even if that is the case, it would still be worth it.

I have one on the floor next to me. It's a totally different design. Kamikaze makes 4-1 headers, this one is clearly a 4-2-1. The runner design is different, as are the collector and downpipe designs.

I'm with everyone else, for that price it's definately worth a shot. I'm sure that there re aftermarket parts for our lancer /cedia in Japan that we aren't even aware of. This might be a great find! Let us know how the install goes and post any gains bro.

They sould fit if the are for the mirage but you might have to alter the downpipe a little. If what he says is true and he did already have this on a lancer then he would have probably already had that fixed.

Would the 4-2-1 design be better than the 4-1 design?

"better" heh. Things aren't quite that simple.

Both designs have their advantages and strong points. Neither is necessarily "better" or "worse" than the other.
