Pic of 03 Lancer Sportback?

I found this picture of a Sportback: Link

Is this the existing Cedia-thingie or is it what the sportback will actually look like.

I was hoping that something called "Sport"back would actually have a sporty back, like the Impreza or Mazda wagons.

Of course, Charleston Mits could just be way off, considering how current their Evo info is.

That's the JDM Lancer-Cedia Wagon. Not the rumored EVO sport back...

Thank you, sir!

I think I read here that Mitsu is unveiling the Sportback in April... that's not that far off, when are we going to see some sneak previews?

Judging from what I read here before the Evo came out, this site must be home to an army of undercover agents inside of .

Come on guys, sneak in there and get some info!

The Lexus IS300, Mazda Pro and Toyota Matrix failed at their attempts, why would Mitsu fail with them?

Got me hangin'. I just thought it would look cool.

I didn't know those models were all failures. (I thought the Mazda did all right, but I could be wrong, plus I know I see waaay more Impreza wagons than sedans...)

The Sportback is due probably around September and will not be a mid-year launch as previously planned. It will launch along with the rest of the redone 04' Lancer line.

Don't forget the possibility of the 2.4l 4G64 making its debut in the Lancer.

It's gonna be a 2.7, some motor as the 04' Galant and Outlander.

2.7!?!? Thats one big *** L4 if I may say so myself, I'm gonna second the 2.4L seeing as that is what put in the Chrysler PT Turbo and the Dodge Neon SRT-4, and there very own Outlander.

2.7L on the 4g6x block. That's freakin' huge!!!

2.6L on the starion and the 3.0L on the porsche 968 are the biggest 4 banger in the used market. At that, it's almost as or as big as a 3.1L or 3.4L V6.

The 2.7 is an all-new motor that is replacing the Mitsu 2.4 across the board (the Dodge 2.4 IS NOT the same motor BTW - different bore, stroke and overall displacement). The 04 Eclipse will probably be the last application for the 2.4.
