3 Questions About An OZ Rally

I was cleaning my car today, when I noticed something odd.

There was a pipe cap under the ignition, covering a large bolt. Is this there for any reason?

Secondly, There is what I believe a housing for a switch next to my dash dimmer. Only problem is it's got one hell of a cover on it. How would I get it off?(the cover)

And, lastly, what does OZ mean?

I thank all in advance.

Hrm.. don't know what the little pipe cap thingy is. It probaby just fell of something stupid and pointless under your dash.
As for the little housing switch, you have to pop out the whole square assembly from behind the dash. It is really easy to do. What I did is just reach behind, squeeze the side pressure clips and it comes out. I was going to put a little switch on that housing, but it is made funny and my switch wasn't thick enough to go through the plastic housing and have enuff room to bolt on.
Last.. go to www.ozracing.com

Hope this helps ya.

Thanks.

And, as I recently found out through another thread, the pipe cap is whats called a "Pedal Stop" to keep the ignition pedal from snapping under stress. I, being the dangerous guy I am, will take it off tommorow and see if I can get any better accell outa it.

wide open is wide open, and the car can get to it just fine. Taking that stop off won't do anything for you, other than stretch your throttle cable so that it eventually will NOT be able to pull the throttle body all the way open (thus losing your acceleration) just thought you might want to know.

Here:

• 4th January 1971: in a petrol station in Rossano Veneto, in the province of Vicenza, Silvano Oselladore and Pietro Zen (the name of the Company, O·Z, derives from the acronym of their initials), car and racing enthusiasts, hand-crafted their first light alloy wheels, and fitted them onto the glorious Mini Cooper, which raced and won rallies of the day. This was the first challenge.
