Dude where's my bushings!?

I ordered a set of base shifter bushing from http://speed-source.net/. Ya'll should have heard of these guys who offer bushings for $28 shipped.

These guys are still in business right? Well I put in an order through Paypal a lil over a week ago and I haven't gotten any tracking number, update on shipment, etc . I only got a confirmation of payment through Paypal.

I'm a pretty patient guy. I've been currently waiting about a month+ now for some custom CF overlays and actually waited 3 months for a strut bar from a dumb seller on the boards. But at least I was updated one way or the other about the delays. Speed Source don't even have a direct phone number to reach them at .

true that. But peeps on the forums already got stuff from them and were happy. So I figured it wouldn't be a problem.

But maaan, get this...I ordered something for a friend that shipped from Florida and it came in 3 days! I order from these guys, that actually put an Illinois tax on my total, assuming they're in IL, then a week later, still no product. WTF?

I want someone who bought from speed source to chime in.

I just got my bushings today. I got an email from them over the weekend and said they were backed up and their email wasn't working. He promised me I'd get the bushings early this week....I calculated wed. latest...and guess what was in the mail right before I left for work ?

so yellance don't think just cuz of my case you shouldn't order from them. Here are the testimonials:

Here is what they had to say about Kartboy:

It all depends on the price now. Base/underhood bushings:
KARTBOY = $48 shipped
Speed-source.net $56 shipped

hope this helps...I'll post my own review on the base bushings when I install them tomorrow !

Ok guys I installed my bushings today !
Man these bushings make a difference! It took me longer than expected because I deassembled the shifter to lube it up better. Also one of the bushings fell under the rug...my luck!

Review...
Before the bushings, the plastic cage moved around a lot. Even with the short shifter it wasn't very precise. I would miss the gear or have hard time putting it in the right gear.

Now with the bushings on it has made the plastic cage unmoveable. I can't believe how much the metal bushings made such a difference. Now the shifter moves but not the cage along with it. This makes for crisper more responsive shifts. It just shifts into place with ease. The shifting is much sportier and quick especially when your punching it, you can whip through each gear.

Downside, I dunno about everyone, but people with the ebay short shifter, you guys experience clunkiness and a noisy shifter? I mean the noise i can handle, cuz it sounds sporty, kinda like F&F shifting sound (sorry for the reference). But it clunks in each gear, especially in 4th. Anyways, that's how it was before the bushings, and it still persists even though I relubed and reassembled it.

Overall, this product is awesome! ! I can't wait to get the underhood bushings now! To think it's good now...with the whole set up, my gosh shifting is gonna be sweeeeeeet !!
