It only came with one. The one that goes between the downpipe and the header. I'm replacing the exhaust manifold gasket.

I took my header to a shop to get an installation price quoted and I also told him that I needed a new gasket b/c the one that Kamiakaze gave was wack, and he was like "no don't change it, copper gaskets are the best." So now i read your post and i'm like wtf. I already have an exhaust manifold gasket i guess i should just go and get the exhaust gasket.

Are they the same size...the one between the header/DP and DP/Cat? If so I could just take the one I got with the header to Midas or Meineke and get the same size right?

They aren't the same size. The DP/Header gasket has 3 holes in it to fit the screws, the dp/cat, only has two wholes. I'm gonna need 3 gaskets : Header to DP, DP to Cat, and for when i flip the cat over a new gasket from the cat to the cat-back.

I thought I was all ready for this, now I'm confused . SO we need then 4 total gaskets:

1. Block/header
2. header/DP
3. DP/cat
4. when flipped cat/cat-back

Is this right then? If so, how do I figured out the size I need for the DP/Cat and cat/cat-back?

That seams about right. You don't necessarily have to do it, but it prevents exhaust leaks due to sh11ty gaskets. When you physically take the stock header off, you will see which gaskets you will need. They don't cost must, maybe like $5 a pop.

I'm picking up the exhaust manifold gasket today from the dealership. They didn't have any in stock yesterday so he special ordered it. I'm going to use that, use the one I got my Kamikaze between the header and DP then when I flip the cat just reuse the ones on there. If I get any leak I'll just pick up new ones then replace. Because once it's on if it leaks won't be hard to replace. Well tomorrow is the big day 25 and 1/2 hrs til header install

i didn't replace the manifold gasket. mine was in excellent shape. it's a little difficult to bolt the header to the DP because there's not much room to work, but with a little patience you should be able to get them pretty tight to prevent any leaks. i also just used the same gasket for the DP/cat joint. so far no problems.

good luck. enjoy the new power!

I know the gains are in the mid to high RPM's around 3000 or so but do you feel it alot? According to others it's a very nice upgrade.

I have kamikazi header and i've had all the stock gaskets excpet the one from dp/cat.... they work great for me; i did install in about 2.5-3 hours might even have been 3.5-4.....it was a long day and i was tired; worst part was getting the cat hooked back to the dp; that one crazy bolt was easy (thanks to the researched string/wrench trick). Good luck; hope your as happy with yours as i am with mine!
