Kamikaze Header is here!!!

Well I got my Kamikaze header in. This Saturday I'll be doing the install. I can't wait. I'll be flipping my second cat around so the 2nd O2 sensor will be behind the 2nd cat. I hope as goes well. Any last minute stuff I need to know?

well, i have the same thing. and the gasket that comes with it went out after 2 monthes. then after i replaced it with 2 other gaskets it went out again 2 monthes later. so i will be placeing 3 gaskets there now because i think the clearance of the downpipe is real tight and the motor does move alot when driving.

I should replace my exhaust manifold gasket right? Just go to the Mitsubishi dealership and pick one up for like 10 bucks?

Is this right? And is there anything else I need to know?

just did mine last sunday. air tools help. especially breaking the nuts on the downpipe/cat joint and the manifold/downpipe joint. and to save you a lot of time, to get to the lower left bolt, take off the timing belt cover, bend that peice of metal down a little (you'll know which one it is when you get there!!) and use a wrench from that angle. it's quick and easy.

only real headache i had was bolting the header to the down pipe, then the downpipe to the cat. was kind of a ***** doing it by myself, but if you have another set of hands, it's a lot faster. if you run into any problems just holler.

ps. why are you selling your bass and amp?

Thanks yeah...I have a guy from work helping me. I'm switching my second cat around so I don't get the CEL. Did you put on a new exhaust manifold gasket?

p.s. I never play anymore. Plus could use the money for some mods

I bought the exhaust manifold gasket a few weeks ago, I'd rather have that when I put my header in that to use the same gasket that was already in there.

The dealership did not have the gasket in stock but he said he'll have one tomorrow so now I have to go back to pick it up. As long as I have it for Saturday morning Can't wait...two days left before install.

the gaskets that come with the kamikaze suck a$$, go and get real exhuast gaskets, the onnes with a metal ring on the inside, to go like a muffler shop and show them the gaskets it came with and tell them you need exhuast gaskets in that size, other wise the gasskets will breal apart and cause leaks
