true enough, the real "power" doesn't really kick in until around 3500rpm, but i do notice a very smooth and solid acceleration all the way through. then when it hits about 3500 it picks up a lot more. i think you'll be happy.

Nice...I've been ready and the install doesn't seem too bad. I'll have a buddy from work help me, so two people are better than one. Only problem sounds like the lower left nut but I'll try that rope method. If it doesn't work for some reason, then I'll try the removal of the timing belt cover and bend that metal piece. I hope all goes well.

i wasted a lot of time jacking with that left nut...on the manifold...and removing the cover and bending that metal piece was sooooooooo much faster.

Picked up the gasket like an hour ago. I'm all set. Tomorrow is taking WAY too long.

True indeed, I also installed my kamikaze yesterday and the install was a piece of cake with the exception of that freakin left nut. Had it not been for bending that metal piece after taking off the cam cover, I would probably still be there now.
All in all, I noticed big gains in the 3500RPM range. Before the header, my car would "choke" if you will at the 4500rpm range, now it seems to want more when I hit 4000RPM and after that little boost kicks in, it really starts to move.

all right i just got done reading everyones posts and i am still a little confused.

the gaskets that come with the header are copper- which are bad.

good gaskets are from mitsubihsi- which dont burn up

so how would mitsu have the right size gasket and how do ones from mitsu not burn up?

Well the install went fine. Lower left nut was a piece of cake. Used the rope method and it worked great . Some nuts by the hanger were a pain to get off but with alittle WD-40 it was all good. Flipped the cat..I barely needed to extend the wire for the O2 sensor... just like an inch or two. Gains are nice in the mid to high RPMs around 3500 like everyone said. So far...NO CEL and it'll stay that way...at least I hope...LOL

I think I should be ok since I flipped my second cat around and the second O2 sensor is behind it now. I'm hoping to..LOL
