You got that right. Mitsu MUST keep it out of the hands of most teenagers. And no intelligent parent should buy this car for their spoiled kid, period. I don't want the same thing to happen to the Evo that happened to the WRX. We must keep those insurance rates down.

Hmmmmm....all I know is 2003 is a long time to wait. Perhaps I'm saying this because of my drunken state (I Have a friend leaving for good in two days to Korea......also had to celebrate the official evo word) but that is a long time to wait. I want to stay in the states to get an evo, but hell if its gonna be that long I can move to Europe or Japan in at least 6 months. I hate to do it, but DAMN I want this car. Man.....I dont even know what the hell I want to do now! Well hey...bottoms up!

Yep, a 2003 release is a big disappointment to me, too, especially after all the blabbing about it coming in a few months. Oh, well.

Also, "more than 250HP" sure sounds like an non-front mounted, under the hood intercooler to me. And probably other things which will be difficult and very costly to put right.

Well, I guess I should be happy that it's coming at all, but this is starting to look a little suspicious to me.

I think the FMIC will stay, its the emissions systems that they will have to integrate which will lower the stock HP rating.

Another year is along time to wait. But you can still get one earlier if you want to pay for it ($40000) for the real deal at http://www.evolutionimports.net/
It will be the real deal, not a strip down version.

But, I might wait

I dunno....year or not......cant see my self paying 40,000 to bring over an EVO. Hell, just wait out the year and you can use the extra cash you'll save to get some mods!

I also saw this while I was surfing around. Now I know its no EVO, but its nice to see the posibilities for those of us who are stuck with Lancer for another year...sigh.

No importers

There are not any importers actually bringing the EVO 7.
Xtreme-Autos has told me they are no longer looking at it.
Evolution imports I am sure is not doing it (if they ever were).

At this point they would be very stupid to do it, especially for the price they would need to.

My goal is to buy as many mods for my Galant VR-4 that I can try out and then use later on the EVO.

Its too bad I will have to wait to buy intake, exhaust etc, or I would have them now too.

EVO 8 baby!!!

Listen, no Subaru has ever been able to compete against the same version Lancer, ever. If the STI is more expensive, then Mitsu will be giving them away, as in Europe and Japan the Evo is more expensive cause it is the superior machine when it comes to driving fast. No contest, period.
