I just got my car back a couple weeks ago after being stolen. I had the Z3 fenders put on while it was being repaired. I wanted the Accolade extreme ones but I didnt want to pay 225 more for them, plus after my kit issues with them I was afraid.

 

it's your car and whatever you do is cool. you should of put the money into suspesion, brakes, tires, and a track day you would have more fun. try road racing. the lancer is a good platform. alot of people are going to give you **** for your car on this board. just remember it's your car and do what you want.

 

I know most of you guys arent feelin the big Bling Blings, but I didnt want people to think I was a ricer. And b4 u start giving me ish on my fuel door, its only until I get the CF one.

Yeah, I was going to get an air suspension for it thats why I havent lowered it. I dont want to scrape the hell out of my kit. I like the idea of being able to adjust the height up when I need it and still look good rollin and dropped when its parked. Havent quite decided. Its alot of $$$ for air ride.

Im thinkin maybe just coilovers and shaving the handles and trunk.

again try road racing or autocrossing. you live in vegas so it is year round fun. i am not condoning what you did to a good car. check out this board there are alot of great things you can do to an oz. i used to skateboard and now i'm too old and my family counts on me going to work. so all i have left is road racing. if you run that car on a track (no **** you will be hooked) the fenders and tint will be detrimental to you going fast. it's all about going faster then your buddies. sorry for my sermon but i hope i pointed you in the right direction. go

I thought fiberglass saved weight compared to metal. and I didnt know that tint added that much weight either.... ...... or is it because I couldnt see the cones on the autocross track?? oh wait I guess I could just roll down the windows right? ......

I have done autocross before with my old car. A Dodge GLHS Turbo. SCCA and it is a blast!
I still have the car and I may get it going again for just that. The Lancer is my joy at the moment to show and shine. It is not in the least, a Fast or even kinda fast. If I want speed and cornering and to spend $3000 to $5000 on engine swap/or mods I will restore the GLHS. This lancer wont be beating much of anything on the road unless I pour BOO KOO amounts of money into the engine.

Maybe I should get a Caddy emblem for my front grill!!.....

everything looks nice except for tha rims if u had a differnt style chrome rim like a racing style chrome rim it would look good! how much were your fenders and were did u get them?

 

I dig what you're going for here, but I can't say as I support the fenders. To me, it looks wrong that the bodylines that are continued through the rest of the car, are not present in the fenders. Case in point, the door line. If you start from the front of the car it's all looking smooth then BAM, there's this new line that begins quite harshly at the door. From the back, the line is introduced smoothly, then it's gone right after the front doors... no warning, no exit music... just gone.

Maybe I'm **** retentive about bodylines... but they strike me in the wrong way. Other than that, congrats on having an original car. And if you're going to badge it as something else... Call it a Lexus.
