Sure you can.. Look at CA row and Restricted Colors column and see that the restricted colors for CA are R, A, and B (Red, Amber and Blue).
What sucks is the NJ tinting law. No windshield AND front window tinting at all (only state with both being illegal).

why do cops have to be soo gay? if i get caught on the freeway going 90mph and a cop pulls me over then hell i deserve to get that ticket my dumb as s shouldnt have been speeding(at least w/o looking around to see if n e cops are near). but when your jus chillin minding your own business(in this case eating ice cream wid ur g/f) not breaking a single law cops want to pull you over. its so ridiculous..........it's like they have nothing better to do...and i already know im going to get pulled over at least ONCE within the next month for the exhuast i just put on....

They've got their reasons. I wouldn't blame the cops so much as I would 1) the (mostly older) citizens of small town communities who complain to the police about "yer damn horseless buggies an the racket it makes; it angers up the bloooood!" or 2) the illegal street racing/side shows in larger cities which result in people getting hurt or property destroyed and demand a response.

He did not allow me the fix it ticket.. I asked. He gave me a plastic razor and told me that while he was not looking and sitting in his cop car, if I took off the tint he would pretend it wasn't there and he would not write a ticket for 2pts and X amount of dollars.. ($125 or something). He let me know he wasn't FORCING me to do it.. like I stated in a previous post.. yea its either I do it or I get a 125 dollar ticket and my insurance goes up 300 a year for window tint being illegal.. stupid cop.

Oh, he said the reason he needed the tint to come off is because lately cops have been getting shot at through tinted windows.. I was about to ask him which cop out of the 2 in that town was shot at in the past 5 yrs.. NONE! lol.. Whenever I watch COPS (show on FOX), the person with the gun either 1)jumps out of the car and shoots at the officer, or 2)doesn't have tinted windows and fondles with his gun until the cop rips him out of the car.

Did a little editing of the chart so you could see:

As for being sure, I cant answer you on that. Im from Jersey where everything is illegal. But its wise to go ask the government people at your place to make sure before you actually slap the tint on.

Tickets come with the nature of all our cars. I have had an STi for the past year and received 4 tickets and was pulled over 6 times. All the times I was pulled over because of speeding or illegal lane changes. All of these where my fault and take responsibility for all of them. But instead of getting the normal police treatment like I got all the other times when I was in my Jetta's these where a lil' more harsh. No breaks nothing...full ticket all the time everytime. Now I have an MR and got a ticket the first day I had it! Was driving back to Utah through in Kansas and was pulled over going 85 in a 70... It was fun...
