3/8 of an inch isnt bad...and it wont make a difference in mounting...

it shouldnt be as much to swap a gasket, you could probably just unbolt a few things and slide it out some and swap the gasket and bolt back up.

well sorry man, i'm just a realist. don't mean to knock it, just wanna make people aware of possible complications, and the first person to install it will realize i'm right

am i saying don't buy it? hell no, quite the opposite, thermal spacers are actually awesome for what they do, a really nice mod, just wanna give a truthful heads up

and yes, i believe 3/8 is a big enough gap that you won't be able to use the mounting brackets as i stated above. of course you'll need new hardware, but he provides that, so the only thing you have to deal with is to remove the brackets cause they won't fit

pgmike: ya think so? i figured you still would have to take off wires/vacuum lines cause there isn't much slack, i'm not exactly sure though

i dont think that GP was downing it, we need that kind of constructive criticism.

i dont know how much slack there is bc all my lines are off right now so it isnt really an issue for me anyways.

thats weird, that'll be the same time period that //rrm lowers prices

hey, llaevo, any chance we can get the guy that makes them in this thread to answer some questions? although, i think we'd gain the most knowledge by having a test dummy

That's why I simply said maybe, I want to know if it fits and is actually worth the money.

OK, I'm confused. What brackets? I can't think of what GP is describing.

you ever take your IM out? there is a large bracket on the underside the holds the IM up from the bottom, linking the bottom of the IM to the block

then on top, there is a black bracket that 2 TB bolts go into, holding up the tb and IM from the top, again attaching to the top right corner of the block

just fyi, i don't have either brackets on right now cause the 4g93 doesn't match up with them, so if my IM falls out, i'll let ya know, but so far so good

Never pulled mine, no. I guess I just never noticed those brackets in my various moddings. Thanks.

I'm tempted... my IM will be off soon, so this might be a good "might as well" mod...
