No, it should be adjusted to just how you need it.

You just mark the bolt head and the body. And make sure the bolt doesn't move.

WD-40 or Kroil as well. Spray and let it soak in.
HOLY CRAP!? some else has actually heard of Kroil? I thought I was the only one who had it in their garage. That stuff works awesome.. did they stop making it? I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Good thing I still have a 3/4 can left.
edit: BTW.. the bars look awesome. I think those are going to be my next mod.

Kroil is god. Especially for a job like this. I don't know if they still sell it - we have a bunch in the garage. I pray we never run out.

For the uninitiated, Kroil is short for creeping oil - it works it's way into the nut/bolt and lubricates the inside too. Greatest product ever for removing stubborn bolts.

Here is a how-to for the lower tie bar installation:

Well I got half of the set used from Doug here on the forums, and they are indeed awsome, just wish they were powder coated instead because where the paint chips off they are rusting.

DJ's bars where black, corroect?

All you really need is a little model paint and a detail brush. Or if you would like, you can ship them back to me and I will repaint them for you (for a minimal fee).

Powder coating is costly. I had it priced out and it would be @$30 to $40 per bar. I don't do it in house, the equipment is too costly and I can't get a volume discount. I don't move enough units.

As long as the bars are treated like they are painted they should be fine. Use caution on the install and use masking tape where you think there might be contact with something that might scratch them.

Let's just say that you probably described the problem. I'm not usually terribly careful...

What's the price on these again and would you recommend these for a daily driver?

is it a good idea to have both rear sturt bar (in da trunk) and the lower tie bar? will my car be tooooo stiff? and what does "torque specs" mean? (from the installation instruction)... and one more thing, i dont seem to be able to locate any bolt for the installation of a trunk bar on my 04 ES.... and the installation sounds very risky and difficult... I thought u only have to take out the 2 nuts, slide in the bar and tighten the nuts back as hard as u can...
