No, you're car won't be toooooo stiff. I promise.

If you get a torque wrench, you set it to the number they give you. Then you tighten the nut until the wrench starts clicking. That means you're applied that exact amount of torque when tightening the nut, and therefore, the nut is as tight as it should be. No more, no less.
