anyone ever had there car detailed??

I was getting my car washed the other day, and i noticed at the same place they also do car detailing. The price was around $150. so i was just wondering is that price worth a detail? and correct me if im wrong but a detail is just where the just make your car look like it was when it was new right? like all nice and shiny??

the detailers in my area do a wash, wax and clean every nook and cranny in the interior for i believe the highest around me is $135.

If u take some time and do it urself u'll save money for more mods!

If you do it, make sure you watch them clean it. Some companies clean the inside and outside and don't spray the underbelly to get rid of dirt and grime built up underneath. Some places don't wax either, for 150, make sure your car is spotless. Make sure you double check the car before you leave the lot so that you have proof that something was missed. Good luck....

By the way, you can do it yourself for cheaper, and probably better, cause its your car.

whatever wax u prefer, shop vac, dash cleaner, window cleaner, toothbrush, alpostry cleaner(if seats are really dirty), water, soap, tire shine, rim cleaner(for heavy brake dust, but u wont need since u wash ur car enough) and an empty afternoon.

I use mothers like 2 step thing and rainx on the windshield, if u have tinted windows dont use any glass cleaner with ammonia.

dealership did it

i brought mine to my dealership and they only charge me $100. I don't mean to sounde like $100 ain't nothing, but that's the cheapest i've found around my area. That inside out too.

i think its a waste of money! spending that much on detailin your car that 150 bucks can be a mod or somethin else for your car or pay some bills with!!! lol but all you need is time and effort to make your car look real good!

I'll just add something here, I used to work at a carwash that did details, and waxing/buffing is a huge chore, and it has to be done right otherwise it looks worse than when u started. The place I worked they cleaned EVERYTHING, I mean these cars looked show room worthy. If its a good reputable (sry cant spell) place I would say its worth it.
