Kamikaze header steel

Does anyone know with any degree of certainty what type of steel Kamikaze uses for their headers? The useless sons of *****es didn't reply to my e-mail from more than a week ago with this simple question, so I was hoping someone else might know. All I know for certain is that it's magnetic and steel. I can't rule out SS though because I know there are at least a handful of stainless that still draw magnets. Anyway, if any of you just happen to know this, please share.

Thats actually a really good question as I am looking to buy one myself. Wonder how rust resistant it is.

Or does anyone know of a particular method to determine what type of steel an object is made of?

Right now that's what I'm leaning towards, but it won't necessarily answer the question. Thanks guys.

Unless you know how to determine different hardnesses that isn't going to do me any good. At least the spark test is something I can reasonably observe/perform.

Im assuming you dont wanna cut a chunk of metal out of it right?

You can send some metal to any metallurgy labs and they will tell you what type of metal it is, right down to the molecules A little to specific though eh? Hehe

It's not that I can't take a chunk out of them, it's that I don't want to do something that will 1. cost me more money or 2. take a lot of time.

There are teachers in high school, colleges teaching metal classes. They know each metal just take it to them. My cousin works in with cnc machines he can tell you exactly what type of metal the header is made out of. My guess, take it to a machine shop and just ask.
