Need Help w/ Spark Plugs + Air Filter
Hi all,
First thing's first, i am planning to change my spark plugs @ 25000 km (yes, Canada). So i want to know what is the specs of the plugs for 2003 LS (i think its the same as OZ and ES). Which brand is the best? What tools do i need?
Secondly, i'm planning to change the air filter as well, do air filters have specs too? and what is the best brand you guys think?
Thanks,
Don

Unscrew coils, pull coils and plug wires, put a spark plug socket on your ratchet, turn left. Then do the same thing in reverse. You could train a monkey to do it. Might use a tiny bit of anti-sieze on the threads of the plugs too. Keeps them from possibly rusting into the threads.
ha, it is easy to change spark plugs, but i checked the how/to threads and suprisingly enough we dont have it on there, i think someone doing it with some pics and junk could really help people and give them a little more confidence, i havent replaced my spark plugs yet and im about to hit 60k miles..... anyone think i should change em?
There's a how to somewhere. It's just not in that forum. It was written before the forum was created.
EDIT: Can't find it anymore, and I don't have time to spend searching too deeply for it. It's seriously a piece of cake though.

or
IFR5E-11 (regular iridium plugs)
Not that iridiums are bad or anything, but honestly...I doubt you'll notice a difference between that and say...copper or platinum. I've experimented a bit with plugs (though my situation's a bit different because my car is boosted, and has never run correct AFR's) and found that iridiums foul quickly, and tend to cost about double what regular plugs cost. Next ones I'm trying (after the stockers, platinums and two sets of iridiums) will be copper.
Yeah if your straped for cash just get normal plugs, but if you got the money get the iridiums. Only reason I say that is because if your like me, you want the best, even if it doesn't do much. If you don't get the best you'll end up complaining and always wondering whether you should have just gone the extra distance.
