How would I go about.....

How would I go about getting a LANCER VI? Do i need to import it? What would cost be? Would it be subject to change in US? What version of LANCER VI is the best (fastest and best looking)?

Thanks for your time

Has anyone actually gotten a car from Evolution Imports? I doubt it.

Claudius, I think you've been promoting a useless and probably by now non-existent company, or do you know of any Evo they brought to the US?

You might be able to get your hands on some rally car in US w/out importing them in. However, the problem w/ all previous EVOs is that they're all not street-legal nor can be registered.

Unless you register it as a kit car (in some state) or race car (can't drive on the street), or put a Mirage VIN # on it (which is illegal)...

I think the ad should be taken off. There is no way they are going to sell them for $55K now (if they could have before).

It would be illegal to register an Evo as a kit car, though, wouldn't it? If anyone knows any good information sources on this, I would like to see. I looked something up at Customs or some other govermental website, and it made it sound practically impossible to get an Evo over as a kit car.

I think there's a place doing Lotus Elises as kit cars, but they have to do an actual engine swap to make it work. They put in an integra engine, maybe, so it's faster at least.
