Its helps to see better at light also your car is stands out alot better at night! I mean you always notice a car with HIDS alot more than cars with normal lights.

"worth" is a subjective term.

Only you can answer if it's worth $250.

To me, it is. I would pay that much for good headlights. I'd be safer.

man, if you are spending 250 on HIDS, then don't do it

good hids are 300 bucks or more, thats a given. rule of thumb: don't pay less cause you are getting junk that will break in a year, and don't buy hid kits off ebay, cause it'll break in a year

Depends on whether you want brights or not as well, thats the main reason I decided not to get them, I drive too much in the country with roaming deer to make it worth the risk.

if you want to keep your brights, you could grab some cedia headlights, which have separate low and hi beams, so replace your lows with HIDS and you still have your hi beams

Yeah but that means buying new headlights, the HIDs, and dealing with the wire splicing and such that would be necessary to make it worth. In the end it just wasn't for me.

i got mine at hidplace.com for 335 shipped. its the mcculloch kit. i have the 6000k bulbs. i think anything over 6000k actually lessens the brightness of the lights. i actually might go down to 5300k. stock rating on evo's with hid's, i think is 4300k

hid kits are NOT worth it...go OEM HID retro...check out http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/ and then..go to HIDplanet university...from there, you will find out why hid kits are a bad bad bad idea. if you want brighter lights....do it right..go OEM HID retro. i paid $400 for everything (Audi A6 projectors, hella gen 4 ballasts, 4300k osram bulbs, and 9007 wire harness).
