Thanks guys... got it all setup now.
Should have material this weekend/first thing monday for delivery to the machinist... he's telling me to give him until the 1st due to some jobs that are ahead of ours. Thus i'll extend the date of this sale even further to the 27th. I know this is in the middle of the week but that is when he states he'll be starting the run. Thus i have till then to increase the order. Get in while you can guys...

Boe,
any chance of getting an RA spacer done in this run. I'm planning on getting the Pp. IM from RRM. THis would kick if you could do this for me. I doubt it cause I thought I read that you needed to get all the specs and everything and tooling for this particular model. In case let me know.

thanks

Eric

Sorry that won't happen anytime soon. After i get these running well and have a stock i'll look into the RA layout. Again though that will be totally different than this run and require different fixtures.

Keep them coming guys... there is still time to get in at this price. On the 27th they start machining. Thus you'll have till then to pay and get both spacers for the BEST price around!

Just got a call from the machinist... apparently he picked up a big job that will put ours off till the middle of next week. That sucks but that's why i wanted to make the cutoff date earlier. Guess we'll just have to wait like i had said before.

No biggy though. He has the material and we're on the schedual so it won't be long. Just thought i'd keep you all updated.

I ordered enough materials to make 20 sets. Thus i'll have 9 sets left over as of right now. If you want a set they will be available for the same price (90 shipped)

After that the price goes up on further production if any... not much demand for these.

After reading thru the thread i realized a long time back i stated that these would be .250 or 1/4" thick. During the R&D process i found i needed to change that to .125 or 1/8" thick. At the same time i also upgraded the material to higher heat resistant phenolic. I did this to keep the material slim enough to allow for all stock bolts/nuts to work as well as keep from burning up the bits on the CNC. Phenolic is some very tough stuff... it wears the tooling fast. Trust me when i say i did this due to the upgrade in material and in the interest of keeping prices low without sacrificing any performance gains that could be had.

This will in no way effect how well these spacers work compared to others... in fact i've tested them against some other manufacturers materials and found that the material i chose offered identicle protection if not a little better even though thinner. This was tested by heating up a block to 450 degree's... another block was bolted to that block with the spacer material inbetween. Parts were left standing for 1 hour heat soak time. Competitors materials varied but saw temp drops between 100-200 degrees. My material averaged differences of 110-215 degrees.

You may ask why the temp differences? Well i made the one block hollow to simulate the manifold. Then on one test i let air blow thru the inside at 90cfm to simulate the airflow in the manifold while the car is running. As you can see from above those tests made the temp drops huge.

I was heating them up way hotter than the car parts really get but that is the temp i reached with my setup and i was unable to adjust it down further... the differential will be the same though. Keeping in mind you won't get but a little below ambient temps outside at the lowest but even then that's way lower than the intake manifolds i've seen have ever gotten. Hell i can't even touch mine after i've ran for a while... it's smoking hot.

If this is going to be a problem with anyone let me know.

Thanks,
Boe

Thinner material with better results? If this is a problem with anybody, you need your head checked

Sounds good Boe. Do you have an estimated ship date? I'm moving at the end of August and want to be sure I'll get these before I move.

These should be shipped before then and in your hands. I'm trying to push to get them machined earlier.

yeah earlier on he stated these will fit 4g93s and ported so that if anyone wants to get ported later on, these will still work.
