Yeah... sorry for that. Couldn't resist Gabe's sexyness...
Anyway, car has the looks and the power. I think now all it needs is some sound items. Any plans to make it a little more show Rock or are you keeping it all go?

finally got my issue, and it is sad how much they bash the lancer. what they dont realize that it is also pretty difficult to tune sohc civics to more power without an engine swap. most turbo kits for civics only prove about 190-200whp, along with all the other upgrades, it would still be mighty difficult to surpass robs lancer. however, it is still pretty cool that it got in the mag, congrats.

and also what they allways fail to mention in mags like this is the price diff...
lets see...buy a Evo(or any other high hp car)and you make a dent of at min $30,000 in your wallet...at new the Lancer was $15,000 and now you can find them cheaper(first gen ones)at around $8,000 now even with all the work Road///Race would be able to do to make our Lancers that fast i'm sure you are still not over the $30,000 mark.
take pride in the potentional in your car and not what some mag sais because the only Mitsu's they really care about now is the Evo and the new Eclipse (cause its new)
and now maybe others will see what can be done by a good shop and try to give some competition to Road///Race then we will have mor stuff but untill then its all about Road///Race and the quality work and servicethey gladly give to us all

You can take many cars that are cheap and make them run fast. Thats not really the point. You buy the car for what it is just as you might buy a porsche or ferrari even though you can make a "cheap" evo faster for less than the cost of the European cars.
I'm a 1G owner now and finding it's not all that easy/cheap to get it performing like an evo... having driven a few fast evo's at Road Race i can tell you it will be a long while before mine performs like that. But at least i'm at my pace and playing with a car i like. Lancer (non-turbo'd) owners are the same. They got a car they like/love and are just enthusiests trying to make it perform.
Getting the "baby" lancer to the points it's reached deserves respect for sure. I think that is what the article was pointing out the most. The "baby" lancer isn't that much of a baby with RRM around.
i hate when pple compare pricing for what u get. especially mustang guys, cause they always say with 4k i can make my mustang with this much hp. who cares how much it cost to get ur car where it is. its the enjoyment of doing it and etc. and by the way who wants a mustang anyways. i c 80yr women driven them. yes i c em drivin lancers too but lancers arn't production sports cars. i also hate car n driver "best bang for your buck" vette vs porshe. vette has more power but it will never reach the ellgence of a porshe.

ROCK, I am curious how much it would cost for someone to duplicate your performance mods(engine & other drivetrain parts). I am sure it cost yall quite a bit having to redo many parts, but now that you know exactly what is needed it should be alot cheaper to duplicate.
