Blown Engine 4G69 swap
The A/C compressors are also different between the 4G94 and 4G69. The 4G69 has the same compressor as the EVO. I'm second guessing the interchangeability of the two transmissions. They are both F5M42 transmissions. The part numbers in the Mitsu catalog are one number off. The 4G94 trans may bolt up to the 4G69. However, take a look at the starter locations between the two and now there's a conflict. 4G69 is in front, 4G94 is in back.
I told you to ask these guys Paul :P... and OT: Shingen wanted to come by around 2:30 but I just remembered that's the last day I got before my girl goes away for the week... let me see but it would probably be mid-afternoon.
The best way to approach it, is get EVERYTHING you think you might need. The first issue I can see outside of the things everyone thinks of (tranny, ecu, harness) is the fuel system. Does the 4g69 fuel system have a return line, or is it returnless? That might cause a problem if it is returnless, because the 02-03 Lancer has a return line.
Just take a motavo to the junk yard and saw the whole front half of the car off, then you will be sure to get almost all of it.
The fuel system is returnless for the 4g69 (pretty sure), as well as 2004+ regular lancers.

LOL
Hope you have a big truck or a trailer for that one, but you would have nearly everything. So, how would one convert a return system to a returnless system, or vice versa? You would probably want to go to a returnless system, since that's what the ECU you are getting will be expecting. Although I have no idea if that makes any difference. Do you just cap the return line at the tank and in the engine bay?
I would think swapping fuel rails from the g94 to the g69 and make it a return system would be the easiest, but idk if it would work.
Verifying returnless fuel system on the Ralliart. I'm going to keep an eye on this thread, some of you guys have more knowledge about the Ralliart engine/tranny than some of the Ralliart guys do.

I wish we had junk yards by my house with newer cars.. everything is like pre 1995 cars. And all the new cars go to the insurance repo place for wrecked cars, which is right down the road. I'd like to sneak in there and take some of the nice parts off of the wrecked vipers and stuff that are stashed in there.

They are different part numbers, but look almost identical. You will need the timing belt side mount from the 4G69. Now you have the engine mounted in. You can take it from here...
It'll depend on what's going on with me that weekend. Hopefully Sir Lancelot can get my bumper painted and ready for delivery asap so I can get the car ready for sale. I also need the stock DP back from initialDRacer when he gets his swapped out. My Lancer should be ready to be sold in about two weeks. Hopefully the turbo will sell by then too.
I should be taking a trip up to MA to pick up the bumper in a week or two, so maybe your hunt will happen before mine.

The 4G94 and 4G69 fuel rails are not interchangeable. The returnless fuel system on the Aug. '03 and later Lancers has the fuel pressure regulator located on the fuel pump assembly. You would have to add an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator to have the fuel return to the tank.
