Sound like a bad stock fpr?

Ok i was told that i couldnt boost about 4k b/c a fuel loss. well i pulled my fuel pump out and reinstalled it to make sure all connections were good. Well then the car wouldnt start. well i get pressure all the way through the fuel rail but when i put the stock regulator on, i dont get any fuel through the fuel line on it (as i try to crank it) now it cranks sometime but violently chokes to death. Sound like a bad fpr?

Iono...I think the likelyhood of the FPR failing is small.

Ok well ive check everything else, did what Gabe @ rrm told me to (unplug plugs, turn car over, then try again) nothing. Also check fuel pump; i know it work b/c i can hear it pumping and i know its getting to fuel rail b/c i unbolted fpr and get fuel. I mean what else could i possibly be? ive changed plugs and i even get the car to start for a few seconds (which would mean the plugs arnt bad correct?) it may even idle great for about 5 seconds before it chokes to death.

Also, remember this car was running fine (except boost problems) yesterday, i just took fuel pump out today and re-check everything then this happened. I have check everything at least 30+ times, vaccume lines, seals, everything. wtf would it be?

gotta make sure all this is on

if the white cap is cracked, there might be problems.

EDIT: or is there no white cap? i forget. this is a pic of an eclipse fuel pump btw.

You could pick up a B&M or any other fuel pressure gauge and put in inline on the inlet line to the rail.

Try this - remove the two 10mm inlet bolts and remove the inlet line from the rail. Have someone try to start the car. Fuel should pump out of the inlet line as the car is trying to be started. If it's pumping fuel out, that knocks out one factor.

I have; i check all the way to the end of the fuel rail (took off stock fpr) and had fuel coming out. so im pretty sure its not fuel pump. Another thing is that some times if i continue to crank it, right after it dies it might stay on for a few seconds but then seems to choke to death......i check my plugs; they are sparking, but i did replace them with some diff temporarily to see if that was problem and they became more discolored (black) at the end threads....
