2004 Taillights

I got into an accident and broke a good deal of the plastic covering for one of my rear taillights on my 2004 lancer es. Does anyone know of any places online (rather than a mitsubishi dealership) to purchase the OEM taillights for an '04. I found '03 OEM taillights, but '04 seems elusive.

you may find someone here who upgrade their stockies... try Show & Shine forum and find who upgrade their taillights and PM the member or check out PFS and PM the seller since you can't post in there.

I'm just about the biggest idiot alive ever. I should seriously have my license revoked after having my accident...

I backed into a car in a parking lot. It didn't help that I made the false assumption that it had left the lot, when in reality it had parked in the travel lane, in a blind spot over my left shoulder. By the time I saw his car, I had already caught his bumper.

Seem to be no love for the '04+ Lancers at any of the shops around.

this might be a good excuse to switch to some aftermarket taillights if you decide to go that route check RRM for some of their products. And if you decide to stick with stockers then i would check on ebay frequently cuz you might get lucky. I personally have not found any distributors selling oem tailights for the 04 models, but i'll let you know if i do find any.

Yah, ebay might be a good route. Every once in a while, I'll see 1 or 2 for sale.

Ouch, the Mitsu dealership said it's going to run me $170 for a single taillight, it's too bad none of the lights on Ebay will actually fit the '04, and it seems that there aren't any online part shops with the taillights for an '04 Lancer.

Mitsubishi is ready to tear me a new *******.

Well, I know that there aren't any aftermark taillights for the '04 besides that crazy australian set, which was like $250 and then you have to ship it from Australia...I was just hoping for an online store to sell OEM mitsu taillights for the '04, but no such store has yet to be found.

okay go to car-parts.com put in a 2004 mitsubishi lancer and taillight all across the usa. The cheapest I found was 75 bucks for the taillight but you're going to have to call those places and see if they will ship. if u want you can also buy the ralliart taillights as tehy fit right in on the 04's

Has anyone used recycled autoparts? Are these usually kept in decent enough condition?

I found an auto shop in Kansas that will sell me the part and ship it to my house for $115 (including S&H), but it is a recycled parts vendor so I'm a bit wary. It is covered by a 90 warranty, but after seeing some of my Dad's internet business deals go very south, I'm still a bit unsure.

Thanks for the help, n1te.
