Magnaflow catback is great.. its the one I have. It will run ya just a tad over 300. I got mine for around 315.. well about $380 or $400 installed out the door after tax. Nice deep sound, slightly better high end performance. Nothing "ultra" noticable, but its there when you really open it up. Get a high flow cat and header too.. might as well complete the exhaust system. It will give you a good base if you want to start a bigger project. Those are the major components you want to get out of the way first. It paves the way for bigger and better upgrades so your whole exhaust system is freed up.

that link robertk posted for you is a good one...check it out....imo i would go with a custom cat back. a bit more pricey but you'll be able to pick and choose exactly what muffler and pipe diameter you would prefer (depending on what your intentions are in the future) my cat back ended up costing me 300 in labor and then the cost of the muffler....sounds better than the magnaflow though heeheehe

i have the dc sports tcs, its awesome, but it was discontinued. however, dc sports still makes a single canister system for the lancer and i would highly recommend it because the quality and design are great.

I'm partial to my Greddy cat back. It's a little pricey but it's well worth the money. I love the sound

Do us a favor though and don't use vague thread titles like "help". I am serious when I say I see one of those per week, and they are always a different topic. So with that in mind, I edited the title for you. Yes, this topic has been covered a few times, but it's a personal preference in my opinion, so the turnout always ends up different.

For the record, I am very happy with my magnaflow. Not too big, not too small, and has a commanding but not obnoxiously loud presence. If you want to be heard, though, get something else, like a Borla or Greddy.

Magnaflow, Greddy, or even Buschur with the magnaflow muffler. Buschur is the cheapest of the three I mentioned, $300 or so for it, Greddy is the most expensive of the three at $500+
I have the Buschur and it does what it is supposed to, but at 2.5 inches it is slightly larger in diameter than the Greddy, which means you lose slightly more back-pressure with the Buschur, which means you lose some low end torque.

Might I add that the magnaflow has no rubbing anywhere or burning of the bumper. All the stock locations for exhaust hangers are there too. Perfect fit.

I wish it were the same for the 05 Lancers, I had to get hangers rewelded in the correct places.
