Voice Your Opinion
As many of you may know, I have taken the time to email OBX in attempts to create a greater interest in producing products for the Lancer. Now, I know some of you aren't fond of their products, which is fine, but liking OBX wasn't the point.
The point of this thread is to encourage all of you who desire a larger selection of inexpensive and quality (name brand) parts for the Lancer, to simply take a few minutes and email whatever brand you like and ask them to make the parts. Only once they have seen an interest in their products would they consider producing thim.
So that we can easily see who has emailed who, and more easily track who we need to email, I ask that you list those you've emailed, and if you like, post their response.
Companies I've Emailed
1. OBX - to find/make more of their products
2. K&N - (twice) to lower the cost of their Typhoon intake
3. Skunk2 - to find/make products (they make coilovers, that's it)
4. Ractive - to find/make products (like intakes/struts/exhaust...)
5. EIP - small company in MD, but worth a shot. They got nothing.
So there you have it. You can start by emailing these companies, or others that you like and list them too, so I can email them. Again, the point isn't to email only companies you like, the point is to make a greater market awareness for the Lancer.
D
EDIT: I will attempt to start and continually update a list of email addresses. Please list the ones you have so that I don't have to hunt them down. Thanks.
Ractive - info@toucanindustires.com (Inquire about everything. Intake, exhuast, suspension, lighting...)
Intrax - general@intraxsuspension.com (Inquire about springs, coilovers, ARB and ARS systems)
K&N - tech@knfilters.com (Ask to lower the price of the Typhoon intake)
OBX - info@obxracingsports.com (Inquire about just about everything. Intakes, strut and sway bars, coilovers, springs...)
Skunk2 - info@skunk2.com (Inquire about springs, strut and sway bars)
Vortech - info@vortechsuperchargers.com (Inquire about superchargers)

Stillen (even though for the most part they're a reseller
), Tokico for Illumina series goodies, AEM for a big rotor brake kit, cam gear and a pulley with belts and Unorthodox for just a proper belt. You can try Jackson Racing again but they're super dense. I'd love to see Hotchkis brand suspension tidbits as well as Intrax for something like their ARB and ARS systems, H&R for one of their BADASS Cup Kits (albeit I remember someone saying something about that coming soon), Crane for a cam gear, shaft, and springs, Falken maybe for their new line of products (good tires so maybe good product), not sure whether or not EBC Brakes has any products, KYB again to get a set of AGX class goods, Crower for head goods (camshaft, gear etc), Edelbrock and Borla for exhaust goodies (catback, manifold) and I think that about does it. Pretty much covers everyone I've tried dropping a hint at and never replied or had no interest seeing as I went through my outbox in Outlooks. Just a word of warning: may get merged with existing Parts Thread.

Thanks for the input pjal. I know that most companies don't seem to respond, or if they do, its something generic. I think its funny that most of us would love to have more parts and selection for our cars, but no-one wants to take 5 minutes to write a simple email. We have how many members here now? Like 7000+? If a quarter of those wrote emails, we would see some response for sure.
pjal's emails.
1. Stillen
2. Tokico
3. AEM
4. Jackson Racing
5. Intrax (I emailed them, forgot them on my list. No response yet.)
6. H&R
7. Crane
8. KYB
9. Edelbrock
10. Borla
Everybody please, take a moment to email a few of these companies.

This is just a bump for the thread. When I get the time later this week, I'm going to post the email addresses for all of you lazy people, and maybe even a generic letter you can cut and paste, with a few changes. Everybody loves to voice their opinion on something. How great would it be to ask a company to make a product, and then see it happen? Thanks in advance to everyone who has taken the time to email, and haven't listed the companies yet. I figure there has to be a few of you since there are over 60 page views. Spread the word.
i emailed wings west for obvious reasons, as well as tein for chamber kit mounts and their edfc unit. wings west did not respond and tein said that they had no plans for making any more products for our cars besides what they already make.

I feel your pain on the midterms. Just finished ANOTHER ONE ten minutes ago, but now I'm sitting here with a physics book in my lap, finishing an assignment due at 11. So if not tonight, then tomorrow the links will be up for sure.
FOR FUTURE REFERENCE: All email links will be available on the FIRST POST OF THIS THREAD!

I say put some pressure on AEM they were one of the first and imo the best CAI on the market they also are supporting the lancer with their EMS system (expensive I know but again one of if not the best on the market). with a just a little more pressure I see a big brake kit
Enough of these rear brake conversions. Focus on upgrading what you have presently, then work on what you don't have. Bust AEM in the gut to make a cam gear and a pulley set.
