I have just bought a Mitsubishi Lancer Cedia 2000 (japanese) at Japan auction.
I know that this forum is devoted to US Lancers, but the Japan and US versions look quiet same.
Do you know what is the difference between US and Japan versions?
Where can I find the tech specs of US Lancer?

The CS5A and CS6A (JDM and USDM Lancers respectively) are similar in almost every way. It's been so long since we've talked about Cedias that I don't remember the specs very well, but their drivetrains are different, rear bumpers are different, and pretty much everything cosmetic is the same (aside from the JDM version being RHD and USDM being LHD obviously). Congratulations on the new car.

 

I don't know what year yours is, but here are some specs for the US models of 2005. Have not changed muct except for the new Ralliart.

The differences are mostly in the type of motor where as the Japanese versions have the GDI engines. Gasoline Direct Injection. I'm not sure of the engine code for the GDI engines but , the US lancer has the 4G94 engine.

Don't take this as fact but as far as I know that's the major difference.

I'm not sure they're all GDI. I know the MIVEC engine in the Ralliarts is, but I don't think that's what he has. There are some threads on this, but they're old, and I'm way too lazy to dig them up. Way too many stupid posts and people calling blacked out headlamps "Cedia" headlamps for me to wade through all that crap. Nothing personal, pal. I'm just not that dedicated to remembering the differences when I have final exams coming up.

 

Just curious...do you have a small 'Cedia' badge lettering on the car? If not, where can I get that...i really want to rock that on my ride.

 

Guys I wonder does the US Lancer 2003 body kits fits the japanese Lancer Cedia 2000? (on photo above)
And would the japanese body kit fit US Lancer?

What are the dimensions of the US Lancer 2003? Dimensions of the japanese Cedia are: 4480mm x 1695mm x 1430mm. Hope they are the same.

 

yea, the 2000-2003 cedias are GDI and yes, accolades body kits will fit your because you dont have a rebar, and yes japanese body kits will fit usdm lancers, if they remove their rebars
