your better off going custom, most of the 04+ guys that bought cat backs for the 02-03s had to modify the exhaust. I believe they had to extend it if im not wrong. I say you jump on the deal that RRM has with the greddy muffler. Then have the piping made at a local muffler shop. Should come out to less than $250 for the install.

Buschur is also unloading all their Lancer swag, so maybe picking up a catback from them would be wise?

ok ive tried this search about this as well ... have you seen the results ???? it has like 10 pages and everything is for 02-03...only 04-05 compatible exhaust i have seen that has specifically specified that its compatible for these years is the magnaflow muffler that rrm has ... so yea if this has been discussed please direct us because i would like to see it ... ive seen people on here that say they have 04-05 catback systems but i have no clue where they get them from... so please help us out (sorry if i am being retarded and just cant find where this has already been discussed)

you sure they have catback systems designed for our cars, or are they custom made? just like Nate said, most had to have theirs modified to fit, but I remember one guy saying the magnaflow catback would fit with no mods, but I dunno. Honestly, I'd take Nate's advice and get the greddy muffler and/or resonator and just have a custom job done........cause that's what I'm doing....lol. Already got mine, just need to save the money to get it done.

Don't buy RMR straight from them, they charge way too much for their stuff, even more of a price hike than RRM. I had a RMR axle-back on my Lancer, but I got it used from another member for I think $180 or $200 shipped. I loved it, and now someone else on the forum is enjoying it.

Go custom, you can get a full cat-back system for around $350-$500

Why the thumbs down? Custom made is waaaaay cheaper. Bad thing is you lose your car for a day while the shop fabs it.

really ... i didnt think it was that much of a difference in price ... plus id rather do all the work myself because i dont trust any of the shops in my neighborhood ... plus i would rather buy a highflow cat straight up that was made for my car ...
