I've heard of some passing, and some not.. the key is for emission testings for best results either put back on your old header, or get a check engine light eliminator. (CEL eliminator) It depends what type testing they do also. For some, you can just go on a few high speed runs real quick b4 to warm up the car really hot, and you'll pass.. it all depends. Whats best if you want to mod ur car, is to come here to michigan .. lol, they don't care wtf u do. Oh, and they sell 93 octane at every station. Even 104+ octance at most of them. Good stuff. (for turbo guys)

it also depends on if they do a visual inspecition... at which point you will probably fail w/ them even checking the emissions

Welcome aboard, around here most of these folks may have plenty of knowledge in their heads about modding Lancers, but the same also usually refuse to share it especially when it comes to previously discussed topics, which is usually always the case, and will be smart ***** and really sarcastic telling you to search and stuff like that.
I just wanted to warn you, there are a few around here that will share answers either way. Just don't get discouraged.

meh, I didn't want to spend that much money.. lol. I've got college tuition to pay for. That in itself.. wow. College $$$ > T-28 Stage 2 $$$. So.. yea. heh. But I was talkin to RRM, and they said I could run around 7lb of boost safely with their non-ic kit on 93+ octane with no problems. That should be plenty for me. I'm really not going to race, just wanted more power out of the little 4g94.

Welcome to the club. I don't know about that but i have headers and i am due inspection. Hope that your stay is a good one and don't be discouraged if you always get told to search. Believe us, there is probably a thread for any question you might have.

Welcome.

This question would be better in the Regional forums. Might get more folks from AZ to answer...
