Header At Dealer

hey i have a RRM header on my car, i need to take it to the dealer to get some warrenty work done. my question is should i take the header off before i take it in. has anyone else had this problem. let me know. thanks.

i have a RRM header on my car and got some warrenty work done too, and i didnt have to take it off!

i was going to get the new ECU recall fixed and my throughtout bearing is noisy. i was just wondering if you go in there with a header on if they get really pissed off and just tel you to leave.

^ ECU upgrade is not nessessary if you have a header. All it is is programing on the warm up cycle of your engine to help with the cat. since you only have a lower cat now there isnt much point. your better off without it. The through out bearing is transmission not emmissions and they should not have any problem with it as it has no effect on your transmission. Although I have heard some horror stories on this board. never in person though.

I personally went through an ordeal with not just a mis-diagnosed slave cylinder/throwout bearing (they are combinded in 1 unit) but a blown transmission. I have several performance mods, and it the tranny replacemnet was covered after several calls to Mitsu NA. When the dealer put in the new tranny, they installed the RRM Stage 2 clutch / Flywheel in for me. I had to purchase the Slave cylinder/throwout bearing though. That part depends on how many miles you have on your car.

What kind of noise is the bearing making? Like a cricket? Or does it howl a little at low RPMs and higher speeds?

it jusy makes a clicking noise when the AC is on. it drives fine and i haven't heard the noise lately.
