Yea, I was a bit concered about that, so I messaged Japanparts and there response was "French Blue = Royal Blue, same color, different name for you guys" Hope there right or else I ain't gunna be happy. But that makes sense after that whole "french fries are now freedom fries" kinda crap I doubt it, but we'll see if it's the same blue soon enough!

French Blue is different that Royal Blue.

I don't know why the people at JapanParts would tell me they are the same. So now I have to wait to see if they will return it. Man, this whole grille thing has kinda sucked. I've been so excited waiting for it to come in, and it's a hell of a lot brighter blue then my car. It's almost that Volkswagon bluish-light-purple color. Anyways, I bought it on Nov. 29th. Nothing for a week. So I emailed them, and they responded and they said they shipped it...on Dec 06th. It finally came in today. And now I have to wait to shipped it back hopefully.

If you say "you should have searched", I did, and there are very, very few blue Lancers on this fourm, and of the few, none have ralliart grilles. So anyone with a blue lancer searching the fourms about a ralliart grille, let it be known.

and have supplied several of the French Blue ( Color Code FK ) Grilles to the USA without Color match issues being reported; we also "searched" but as you have pointed out Blue Lancers are just about non-existent

I bought mine of ebay and it fit perfectly and the color matched i guess i got lucky

 

I returned the grille to Japanparts, and they have been very accepting in returning the product. No hassle. I don't know about getting another one, if Japanparts can sell me one that is the same color as my car, I'll be very tempted to buy it. But for now, I just have to wait for the grille to reach japanparts, has for right now, it's on the slow boat to japan.

To anyone else looking into buying this grille, I HIGHLY RECOMMED IT! The grille came in excellent condition and was a solid, good looking grille. I'm trying to get my friend with a yellow lancer to get one because I think they make a stock OZ lancer look sooooo much better.
