Non-cedia HID Headlights on ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-03...ayphotohosting

I know a couple members bought the "JDM Cedia" headlights off ebay... but these are different. Anyone had any experience with these?

Definately not as cool as the retro-fit lookslikeanevo did, but a possible HID kit for around 325 shipped.

Should I take the dive? I am thinking these would make a nice x-mas gift.

I'm thinking that they won't work correctly, and you'll blind everyone on the road.

I've been looking into HIDs lately. Stay away from the whole "we just stick an HID system in the regular halogen setup" kinda deals. They work horribly and are illegal.

Cool

all aftermarket HIDs are illegal....unless your car came with them, they are "technically" illegal.

some aftermarket kits work rather well. so to say that they will blind everyone and work horribly is not a accurate statement. i put a set in my wifes 1993 honda accord and they work great without blinding people. they are the 6000k kit/9006 bulb kit.

I'm not worried about legality, in my town all i see are HIDs (rich town). I don't, however, want to anger any drivers in New Jersey.... some scary people around here.

So why did RRM skip us over on the HID headlights? I see they are coming out for the 04-05 soon...

I wouldn't based on blinding people. I hate it happening to me so I wouldn't do it to others

Some, yes. But it depends on the setup, the headlight housing, and the bulbs.

these can't work right, at least not plug-n-play. The picture looks like dual beam HIDs...when quite frankly the headlight looks OEM, and that inner light would be a turn signal.

the 04 lancers/RA got some nice projector headlights on Ebay however.

rrm put them up for the 04s b/c their headlight housings have less glare... also if you pick up a set of the blacked out "cedias" on ebay a lot of ppl say they work quite well with hids... it elimnates a good deal of the glare that relfects off of the stock chrome housing.
