If you drop 10k into a GS-T a stock Evo won't touch it...in a straight line. So what?

Unless it's a GSX I wouldn't think twice. I'd get the Lancer. I'm not gonna lie though, I'm especially biased because I think 2g DSMs are ugly as hell. I give them respect as far as ability and performance go, but I give em a 4 out of 10 for looks. Entirely too organic looking and completely not my style.

If you want a fast car...get the 2g (so long as it's a turbo model and not equipped with a Neon engine).

Yea maybe ability and performance are good in the gst and gsx but you also gotta throw reliability in there, eclipse, talon have had many recalls and are not the most reliable cars in the world. I've had a talon for 2 years and have put a lot of **** into it that wasn't just aftermarket stuff. And I still choose my lancer over my talon, even though it's mush more quick. The actual price for the car are way too overpriced. pay 12,000 for a 99 gsx, that's bull****, and the 3rd generation eclipses are far too over priced, plus my insurance for my 95 talon is the same for my 2002 lancer!!!

go figure-
i came to this decision seeing i need alot of speed and good looks
and the celicas got it and the US lancer looks great but 120 horse-COMEON!
But i still plan to get an EVO in the future because the evos are my favorite but the price is expensive for me for now...

Celicas ain't exactly powerhouses you know. Granted they're faster, lighter and sportier, but eh...well...whatever floats your boat I guess.

Good luck with the car and take it easy with the smilies.

I eat celica's for b-fast, "MOST" gsx's for lunch, and a lot of honda's and acura's for dinner . Although i'm a messy eater and my food sometimes get away i've yet to let to much go uneaten .
