03 trunk on an 05?

I wanted to see if anyone knows if a trunk from an 02-03 lancer will fit on my 05 OZ...I like rest of my car more than the older one (no offense) but I like the trunk on the 02-03 better. Thanks.

Do my tail lights need to be changed out also. I don't know if the dimensions are different?

yeh i just looked at an 05 and u do have to swap tail lights. i dont think it would cost too much to swap everything IF they do bolt up. but im not sure how the lights would line up with the rear quarter panel.

you would basically have to replace the whole rear end. the dimensions of the two styles are similar (thats not what should be in question), but the styling is so different it would take a lot of work to do what you want. so no it is not a direct replacement, nor do i think it would be worth the trouble.

Come over my house, Kevin. I have dental floss and a blowdryer. We could do it in an hour.

I was actually just asking because eventually I would like to get a bumper with a license plate cutout and have nothing on the trunk at all. It was just a thought...it may look stupid as hell, who knows. Appreciate the feedback guys!
