Stopped off at my local dealer today as soon as I saw the GT-A on display. Basically its the same as a GSR/RS apart from the transparent rear light cluster and the fact that you can choose to either have no wing, a small wing or the normal Evo wing. The interior had shiney blue inserts in the dash & gear lever surround and the instrument binnacle has been changed to accomodate a gear indicator. The seats remain the same, but what really seemed strange to me is the fact that the tyres are now BS S01s! Very strange this! I suspect they thought they would be more confortable for an "everyday" sports car....but we all know what they are like!

Anyway here is a picture of the brochures they gave me:

Didn't it also have the plain good without the air ducts and no air duct slit in the front bumber just below the Mitsubishi emblem? How did the clear lights look on it? Just curious on how it looked compared to a GSR since we'll probably be getting the GTA version in the US

Gear indicator WTF is trying to do? Have the same stuff as the STI?? No no no, we can't have that. Although everyone will be comparing the STI to the Evo, but we need to have as much stuff as possible to be different. Damn why do they thing they need to change everything for America...I love all japanese cars they way they are. Not when they are changed to meet American standards. bah..

I had a look at the brochure last nigh. Seems the Recro seats are an option!! You can also get leather seats with elctric adjustments!!!!!!! What next?? Bloody MB/BMW seat air conditioning???

Oh and the S01s are 225s!

Oops I meant to say hood not good in my last post
Yeh I read that leather is an option on the standard type seats...not the Recaros. I guess the GTA is actually heavier also because it has more insulation and a steel exhaust instead of aluminum...to make things quieter
Also I read that the ride is a little softer.
How did the wheels look? They are suposed to have a brighter finish on them.

Gear indicator? Sounds like something a manufacturer would put onto an automatic tranny car... is there any mention of an automatic tranny in that brochure?

ehm...yes its an automatic. Hence the name GT-A(utomatic)...
The term they ( ) use is INVECS-II Sports Mode 5A/T.

broeli....the alloys looked the same to me. Those parts you mention it make it indeed havier, 1480kg to be precise. Thats +80 on a GSR and +160 on an RS!!

In the stuff I have seen about the GT-A, I thought that the hood didn't have the air ducts. Is that right?

Certainly can't compare the two, that's for sure...

Me? I'm perfectly happy with my B4 RSK which is definitely easier on the bum than the GSR!

Cheers.
