I don't know why everyone is whining and moaning about the lancer being a bad platform, honestly either buy a new car, or simply stop and think about what it was made for. The lancer wasn't made to be a fast car, it was made to be an economical car. That's it, nothing more, nothing less. This doesn't mean it can't be "fast", but you can't expect a lancer to do 12s in the 1/4 mile and spank all the other cars around it without dumping a crap load of money into it. Part of the problem is people say things like "oh no my lancer is so slow, I lost to an evo yesterday". Well I'm sorry, but the blind guy down the street could have told you would lose to a car that costs twice what yours does. People just need to learn to be happy with what they have. Would I like a faster car? Of course, but I'm only 20, I have the rest of my life to buy fast cars, I'm perfectly happy learning how to drive and how to mod now so when the time comes I can truly make the car I have always wanted.

Well I love my 03 thunder grey lancer...LOL (my first car)
Tinted and droped low with custom badging and muffler, black out head lights, short antena - it looks cool.
I never drive fast at all, though the lancer has no problem keeping up on the GA freeways !!!! I mainly cruise the surface streets of ATL.
The lancer has a huge trunk full of subs and a spacious interior well built for music reproduction!
My car gets respect due to the massive but stealth sound system it transports...LOL
My next car will be the 07 VW Passat 2.5T all wheel drive wagon. Its all abotu the system for me...LOL
