Custom Grounding Kit

I've seen many people on here make custom grounding kits.

When they do this is it just a bunch of heavy guage wire?

I figure yes because it's just suppose to distribute the electrical current but I don't know for sure.

Any advice would be great

Basically, you summed it up. Heaviest gauge you can afford, and some high-quality ends. Cut to length and install. And then HOPEFULLY you notice a difference (I never did).

Why? Just daisy-chain it. That's how many systems work.

Yes, your car will still shock you. That's a different ground system.

I've post the steps in a couple threads; just do a quick search... And no, the grounding kit you're wondering about doesn't stop the "shock treatment."

You have to keep in mind that a grounding kit only increases performance if it is tested on a dyno. The professionals who do this try multiple configurations, testing each one on a dyno to determine which configuration gives the best results. Even then, they are just squeezing the last 1% of the horsepower they can get. Although I can't vouch for how it helps a stereo system, don't expect any horsepower gains from our Lancer, even if you do spend a day and hundreds of dollars dyno tuning it.

Hey, just wired up my Ground kit today. made a custom negative battery bolt on terminal out of a chunk of an old kitchen sink.. a plasma cutter.. and some bolts and a new F-ed up drill bit.

now heres the question... got about 80 feet of Red OFC Stinger 1/0 gauge wire hangin around and the same thing in 4 gauge...

go with the 4? go with the 0/1?

cause i mean cmon.. 0/1 is huge ****... were talkin 200+ ampers capability, how much does the car REALLY need that...
