I had the typhoon intake but i also just put the stock tube back on and made a heat shield thing just messing around with it. So now I'm selling the tube and PCV hose that connects to the valve cover, and the bracket that holds the intake up. So if you have or can get a filter and MAF sensor adaptor and want a blue K&N Typhoon SRI tube let me know. Selling it cheap

So is it worth getting a bent pipe to pull the head out to the side of the battery... or just get the coupler and stick on the filter like i see in the first pic. wouldnt replacing the whole assembly be much more efficient?

some say yes, some say no. RRM claims that the rubber stock hosing is more efficient, K&N claims the smooth piping is. I dont think it matters at all. the differences are too small to matter. the stock hose moves the filter farther away from the hot headers and engine, but the K&N tube moves the filter up to where the air first enters into the engine bay. So go with whatever you think looks better or is cheapest

i made a shield for my intake. It wasnt for the typhoon intake but it was easy, im sure it wouldnt be too hard. that or i think just autozone or advance auto parts sells one of the shell things that cover half the filter but it does shield on one side.
