What is the Strongest link in the lancer?
perhaps its handling?
but then again we have to ask its strong link in what regard. for performance driving probably its handling. the car drives beautifully for what i payed for it. For the car's original commuter car purpose definitely affordability, mileage, looks, and more room than the competitors

it's sleek and unforgettable body lining... I believe it's the best looking lancer generation compared to what's out now. Looks alot better than the mirages as well.
Also, The interiors.... Sleeek, smooth, and simple.

true it has awesome lines and if you have a silver car and u have it outside parked under a yellow light you can really see all the detail its beautifull...i like the way it pulls hard on a turn its a great car
Looks great fixed up, but stock i dont much think it looks great. Handling with ugrades is awsome, its also good to **** off evo owners on this board because its a lancer, lmao. wish mitsu went with mirage still. Anyways have fun in this thread i have a feeling its going to be locked..
so,
NB4 lock.

3 spare fuses an the plastic puller they supply you w/on the rear of the change dish....the lancer is pretty weak all around.
if i had to pick; i'd say the OZ wheels are the best built part on the lancer

I'd say the strongest link is it's 10 yr 100k warranty, other than that nothing. If you voided your warranty then I guess you're screwed. If you buy a new OZ fully loaded you'll spend about $22k in my area, that's sun and sound package and all, the works. In the first year the car will depreciate $6k and the total 5 year true cost to own is $33.5k according to Edmunds. Not worth it imo considering there are plenty of cheaper cars out there that are plenty faster and cheaper to own, but not too many cars out there that are slower and more expensive to own. That makes the warranty it's strongest link imo.
Those above figures from Edmunds are based on folks with excellent credit and crystal clear driving records with low insurance rates etc.
If I would have known all this when I purchased it I swear I would have never bought it.
