Need Some Lancer Help

Ok long story short someone vandalized my sister's car. She has a 2003 ES.

They broke her grill and stole some stuff. Everything that was connected to the top of the valve cover.
So far I started what she is missing but in a picture I found here I see something else.
They stole the coil packs and spark plug wires, Ripped the harness ends right out of the wires so those need to be replaced. There are 2 coilpacks correct?

My main question is what else is bolted to the top of the valve cover in the coil pack area? Are there any other electronics there?

I see this thing with a red plug, I don't think I seen either the red plug there. What is that? I found this picture here on the forums so pay no attention to where that guy is pointing.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

yes there are only 2 coils and 2 wires. but wow that sucks. what is the world coming to. id say, if she has full coverage, just pay the deductible and have the dealer replace anything that was damaged or stolen. my deductible is only $100 and im protected against vandalism and theft of factory parts, but nothing aftermarket.

Yeah her's is $500 and truthfully it's probably not worth claiming it even at $700 or the $948 the insurance claims adjuster quoted her at. Most likely they will want to up her rates, she was in a accident, not her fault, about 3 months ago.

The lady came out and obviously has no clue because she included 4 coils, a fuel rail, a whole mirror when they only stole the glass out of it, (isn't that an odd one,) oil cap (yeah they stole that too,) and the grill. Also told her it would take 5 hours labor at $44 a hour and I don't know any body shop let alone a mechanic who would take that as a book hour.

you're missing the throttle cable as well if I'm not mistaken. You see the 2 holes on the front of the intake manifold... well... that's where it should be.

Oops... sorry. Just re-read your post and realized it's not a picture of the actual car you're talking about.

Ok so I found this other picture and it doesn't show that red clipped thing.
I guess I need to go back to her house and look to see if it's missing something off the left side of the right coilpack.

btw... the thing with the red clip goes on top of the intake manifold, on the driver side.

Well thanks everyone, I have found prices on what I'm looking for just one thing I can't get seperate is them clips that clip onto the coil packs. They want $400 for the whole harness.

Also the spark plug wires are $50 from the dealer. What are there 2? No wonder I never bring my car to a dealer.

you can get after market NGK wires (better than OEM ones from the dealer) for about $30-40. they are from the Mirage. ....but which sensor clips were stolen? the injector clips or the coil pack clips? you previously said it was the coil packs but in the picture the injectors one is highlighted. i wish you could post a pic of the vehicle in your posession so you don't get any of the wrong parts.

Yeah thanks again everyone she is going to send it through the insurance and have Mistubishi tow and put it back together again. Those pictures were not of her car, I was just using them as references.
I found plug wires at Autozone as well for $20 but this all has to be put through one place so as long as she has to pay this huge deductable let Mitsu rape the insurance company for the money. Suprisingly they offered to use genuine parts. But who knows this might all change.

oil cap
$18.23

mirror glass or mirror
$30.96 or $67

ignition coil
$100x2

plug wires set
$49.48

grill
one side is $88.51

harness because they just don't sell the clips seperatly.
$403.60

She's also going to need the bolts that hold the coilpacks down.
plus labor and a tow = time to claim it on the insurance... I'm going to still try to talk her out of it though, due to they might want to up her rates after this is all done.

Now they sent a claims adjuster to come look at the car early this week and you know maybe they should put these people through some sort of training or the lady just didn't care or was thinking my sister would just accept the check and settle. She obviously had no clue what she was looking at.
The lady offered $948... Here's her parts list.
oil cap - $12.50
Whole mirror - $82
Ignition coil 4@ $123.99
grill - $82
Fuel Rail - $40
5 hours labor at $44
+ taxes

Ok so the fuel rail was there, I don't know any shop that would work for $44 an hour, she's missing parts that are missing, who's paying for the tow, if this lady knew so much why does she have her down for 4 coil packs when the car has two, and her price sheet is all wrong.

Anyways once again thanks for the help. If anyone from the Chicago Area and wants to hang out hit up the www.chicagolandsrtclub.com
