There are a few times where i have trouble starting up my car.

When i try to start it up i have to rev the engine a bit to make it start.

Is there something wrong with my starter or something else?? I really need some help

umm, try and clear that up a little. If you're 'revving' the engine, it has to have been previously started.... Any CEL? Funny noises? How long has it been occuring? What's the weather like? Does it change with different types of weather?

yes please give us more details...

how many miles on your car? Have you had your fuel line cleaned? Injectors could be dirty?

if you have alot of miles on it, timing belt may be off by a bit. Could be alot of things... let us know...

It's not the starter. If you're revving the engine, the car has already started. So it's more about your idle on startup.

throw a thing of Lucas fuel and injector cleaner in there. Stuff is cheap and works great, if that doesnt clear it up you may have to adjust your idle a bit, not too hard to do.

Make sure your battery is good too! My wife's car had a problem that sounds just like what you are describing!

i just got the battery like 4 months ago so i don't think that should be the problem

i have about 70xxx miles on it. I checked the timing belt but its still doesn't look like anything is wrong with it either. I talked to a few people and they say its the starter. I mean it could be

at first when i try to turn on the car it looks like the battery isn't charged all the way but i kow its not the battery

basically i have to press on the gas a few times to acutally turn on the car

Thanks guys fro helping.

if it was the starter the car wouldn't start normally. it would make a high pitched squeeling sound if it wasn't engaging with the flywheel OR the solenoid wasn't engaging. starters are EXTREMLY easy to diagnose. it you are 70k do a tune up first. change the plugs, new air filter, inspect timing belt for cracks/wear/dry rot/etc, check drive belts, new oil, injector/full fuel system cleaner, change the tranny fluid/gear oil (i know this has nothing to do with start-up but you might as well get it all in one shot), PCV valve, and clean the EGR system out....after that, if you still have problems, look deeper into things. you may need to up the idle OR the ISP sensor or TP sensor might be going bad.

EDIT: are you pulling a CEL? if so that is crucial to have the code pulled. ALSO i forgot to mention inspecting the coil packs and plug wires to see if they need to be replaced.
