Question Whats RRM Up To ?

hey all, most might allready know that Liquidlancer has/ will be getting some secret performance "component" from RRM for his car. i did not want to continue to flood his thread with people guesing, so i thought i'm make this thread for everyone to make atleast 3 guesses at a time. i also figure this is a good way to see how people react to what upgrades could be done to our beloved lancers.

who knows might give some vendors on the forum some ideas on what to get for us .....

I want someone to make a CF spoiler that is exactly like the one our car comes with and a CF direct replacement body kit that comes on the OZ! I think these changes would be amazing to look at and even better to sell!

I thought he said this secret was a performance mod. Now I remember some talk about DOHC conversion, but they said it wouldn't work. I'm thinking they are sticking to SOHC, but changing the cam. My other guesses would be the intake or maybe some sort of t/b thats way big.

God knows what they are dreaming up, but whatever it is, it oughta be worth a look since everyone is making such a big deal about it.

With RIPP already blazing a trail for supercharging, I don't really see Rob/RRM heading that direction. RRM also already sells a turbo kit, doesn't really make a lot of sense to sell both. At least not yet.

Who knows that this is. Maybe the era of +50whp decals is finally upon us!

He said performance mod and he said it's not a DOHC conversion, but could yield similar HP gains in the 30-50 range. I'm extrapolating here slightly from what he said maybe, but this is the impression I have in my head. He also suggested it was far less involved than a DOHC conversion, which suggested to me that it's not a full internals/cam/port/polish type of upgrade. Also, if it's a secret weapon, it's probably not something RRM already sells like internals or a throttle body. And I agree on the supercharger theory that it's not worth the R/D time RRM would have to put into another forced induction system.

My best guess for now is a chip of some sort. As far as I know, no one makes a chip for our cars yet, but perhaps he's found one or developed one. It's a stretch, but I'll say possible and not worth advertising until it's tested and such...
